Time Your Lights

You may have been enjoying your holiday lights for a week (or maybe a month or more?) and the utility company is enjoying you having them on as well. Every moment that we spend in admiration, feeling those good holiday feelings inside us, our electric meter is ticking away, measuring the amount of electricity all our lights draw.

Make the most of your awe-time by plugging your lights into an automatic timer. You can set the lights to be on when you want them to be, off when not needed, and you won’t have to remember to plug them in/out or flip the switch. (Or use the clapper - who has one?!?)

Outdoor lights? There are timers that are photo-sensitive, and can be set to go on/off at dusk/dawn or at preset times. You won’t keep your neighbors awake all night then either.

So, save some electricity, save some money, and save some emissions from the electricity generated at the power plant. Win-win-win!
