Mom, teacher x 2, community volunteer, writer…

I wear many hats, and I love all of them. Keep scrolling to learn more about each of these parts of my life.

About Me

Though it may not always feel like it, these people are the reasons I do what I do. My environmental work, my mom work, my teaching - hopefully in the end they add up to a life that has made the world a better place.

Family First

Environmental Education Program - School District of Waukesha

On a walk down to the river where we would be donning hip waders and taking nets in to catch macroinvertebrates, I had a fifth grader ask me, “You get to do this for your job?!?” Yes, yes I do.

I’m lucky to hike with kids to examine glacial features of southeastern Wisconsin, bring live animals to students pre-K through eighth grade and work with FABULOUS staff who share my nature-dork appreciation for the natural world.

K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP) - Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education

Teaching for the K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP) through the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education at UW-Stevens Point allows me to stay connected with teachers and preservice teachers interested in teaching the next generation of learners!

Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education

Our state-wide EE network is celebrating fifty years! I’m honored to volunteer my time to help expand environmental education opportunities across Wisconsin.

Giving Back

I volunteer locally with the Sussex Green Team to make our community more environmentally-aware and to provide opportunities for others to give back.
