Research Your Vote!

November 2nd is election day here in the United States. This is your chance to research your vote to make a difference in the world!

And while 2021 isn’t a big election year, it’s your chance to find out who will be on the upcoming ballots. Search your state and “2022 elections” to find out who will be in the state and federal political races in your area. Also search up your local municipality - local officials and school board members are your closest representatives!

Why is this important? We live in a representative democracy… This means you don’t have a direct voice in our government, but you have a representative who does. When you vote, you are helping to choose the representative for your area. If you don’t vote, your voice doesn’t get heard!

Take the time now to see who has already thrown their hat into the ring and who best aligns with your values. Keep an eye on how they are doing and then vote in 2022!
