One Minute Vacation

Summer is just around the corner and I’m sure everyone is looking forward to getting away from home if possible. But one activity that you can do anytime to get a mini-mental break is to take a one minute vacation.

I’ve done this quick activity with both kids and adults, and the smiles afterward make it always worth it.

It’s simple: Go outside and just BE. For one minute. Close your eyes, breathe deep, and take in the feelings of being outdoors.

Notice the air around you, the sounds that head your way, and feel your body connected to the Earth.

Working with your classroom? This works well having the kids sit in a circle and then face away from each other. (And they get better with practice. :)

Go on vacation this week - many times! And go forward into the world with renewed energy and contentment.
