Laureanna grew up on a small farm in southern Wisconsin, mostly trying to avoid chores so that she could hide somewhere and read. She is a proud half-Filipina, half-Wisconsinite who barely survives life in the dairy state while being lactose intolerant.

She worked as an elementary teacher, an outdoor educator, and currently teaches energy education for university students and professional educators.

Her husband and two kids keep her life full with soccer, playing board games and cards, and planning their next travel destination. (But she still likes to hide and read when she can…)
